Overview: Very Rare 1920 Super Ludwig Snare Drum 1ply steam bent walnut shell signed by WFL II

Description: This is a very rare and beautiful drum. It is a 14” x 5” steam bent 1 ply walnut shell Ludwig&Ludwig Super Ludwig snare drum. The snare is fitted with original Ludwig branded calf skin heads top and bottom and has gut snares. The drums is signed by William Fredrick Ludwig II making it a rare collectors item. 
 
Condition: Considering the age of the drum I can say it is in perfect condition (see photos). The previous owner of this drum said it is all in original condition and appears to be so. I’m sure the drum sounds positively amazing when tuned right however, I have never played it and the drum seems to have never been played but rather kept in perfect condition for the last 100 years. It is important to know that when you receive this drum it will be detuned completely. This is to protect the instrument during shipping. That being said it is important to tune the drum properly to get the best sounding instrument. The snare throw-off works perfectly and has no issues at all.
